I have uses the RAM mount system for many years and have been happy with it, for both my phone and coffee cup holder. they have added a rubber sort of net for extra security for the iPhone

I have three of these off-brand RAM Qi wireless mounts on my scoots, and find them quite satisfactory. They may be the same product as branded RAM mounts.

I am not recommending one over the other but can only comment on my experience which has been with the RAM mount

I have a RAM Mount phone holder, but no longer use it after getting a QuadLock. The QuadLock is fast and secure - needs no additional rubber net holding it on. I still use the RAM Mount stuff for camera mounts and when I want to use a drink holder.

I like my RAM mount, holds the phone tightly and only needs the rubber "net" on rough roads.

My RAM mount works a treat for me. Quadlock are great too, but I'm personally not keen on the requirement to use their case on my phone.

I use QuadLock on Melody: the "downside" (if you will) versus RAM is that you need to buy a case for the particular phone; the upside? Simplicity, small size and speed of attach/detach: I'm about to switch from a Samsung Galaxy S9 to an S10e, and I'm getting the case for that phone. The RAM has its (many) adherents, but I don't care for the Rube Goldberg complexity (and mass), but might have gone for it if the QuadLock hadn't come along.
QuadLock, by itself
QuadLock, with phone.
QuadLock, with phone, from front

Wireless charging in phone mounts is like WiFi in routers. Once you've seen the feature in action, you are never going to want another one without it.

I use a RAM mount, with the RAM Quick-Grip Phone Holder. I've had mine since June of 2016, and have used it with three different iPhones (both with and without cases) and a Samsung Galaxy J3 (both with and without case).
Haven't had any issues with it holding on rough roads. It grips & holds the phone nicely.
