Blatant subterfuge. I was informed, via third party, that you were instrumental in forming of the body back to something recognized as an SS180, many facets. Several levels.

I was also informed that beers may or may not have been had. Some of those beers may or may not have been from the greater Los angles area. Allegedly.

I have an opinion.

I fell in love with the SS because of the pictures in the Vespa: Style in Motion book. I think you know what I mean here. This, to me, represents the One True 180SS.

I'd be hard not to go with that original red from the book. That is sweet! And brings it back to it's roots.

The original red is pretty stunning. Usually you see the brighter reds of later model years. The early, deeper red was dead sexy.

Floor rails - anyone know the width, or can you measure the width for me. (Same as a Rally or Sprint I believe.)

I have some nice mecur repops that came with this and appear to have been fitted, but they seem wider than I recall, almost too wide. Measuring in at 18mm.

Color. So it's been decided? OK, cool.

I must admit, both colors are amazing, you cant' go wrong.

Figure you should get a vote from your two canine 'garage helpers', Squirrel and Lou, as they will be seeing it a lot.

I lean a bit towards blue, because it is the least seen SS color out there, but then again, my vote may not count as I probably see the world in a similar fashion as Squirrel and Lou do. (see my screen-name)

The idea of bringing it back to something close to original has always been very appealing. Now, I cant even imagine a concourse resto, but this thing had so many of the hens teeth included, that it is a fairly easy lift to get it close... and...AND the OG red is the best red Vespa did!

If we ever finish the body work and get this ting to paint it will look A-MAZ-ING.
