Not specific information top side looks good. How about pictures of the bottom? Is rust an issue on these?

Its a PK XL2, the styling is more like the Cosa than the earlier PK models. as well i think it has a single gear cable rather than the normal 2 and thats pretty much unique to this model.

There are probably easier PKs to start with as a first scooter but if you like it then from the pictures you have posted it looks ok, Try and get a look under the floormats to check for rust.

Oh, and dont expect it to be fast, standard 50's are notoriously slow. There are lots of tuning bits available to make it go quicker but the single gearchange cable would make swapping to a faster engine a bit more problematic.

Thanks for the reply !!!

This is information from registration data.

It's saying this is PIAGGIO VESPA PK 50 XL.

“Worthy of preservation- no”

“Top speed- 45 km/hr”

love it.

Anyway, it’s a PK 50. If it’s cheap and you’re in love with it, sure whatever. Can you upgrade it so it’ll be faster than your dog can run? Sure, just open your wallet.

Yes,

not much power and undergeared if you do make them quicker.

Luckily there is a wealth of go-faster aftermarket tuning parts available. its a case of working out what you want and then how deep your pockets are.

First off where are you? I have one like that I'd love to sell you for half of that and it's already hopped up, get you closer to 45 MPH than mere KmPH with a properly run in DR70 kit, 19 carb and cheap pipe. BTW, I am a big fan of the single cable shifter, EZ adjust and zero slop. Look here and you can see more of it and get a better idea of what these are like. PK love page

What do you think? 500 euro seem fair?

If you were in SoCal I would buy that off you faster than polished steel.

I'd look under that rubber/plastic floor mat to see if there's any patina hiding under it.

PKXl has a unique alloy top end with large fins (as large as long stroke model). Polini provides a very powerful 75cc kit with a W shape exhaust port. Love this engine...

No lies. I still have PTSD from the 100 sport.

Now everything has to be stupid fast. I am incapable of building a mellow rideable smallframe.

I remember test riding a PK50 that i was interested in buying about 15 years ago. I will never forget that very short ride. I hopped on a 30MPH one way 3 lane wide surface street. The PK’s top speed was just over 25mph (I figured it would be closer to 35mph, but boy, I was wrong!). I almost got run over by multiple cars. Lot’s of people were honking their horns at me as well...and that was after just ONE block. I quickly made a right turn and did a hasty retreat. I returned the PK to the seller and told them I wasn’t interested in buying it anymore.
