So I just got the vape kit today and I sprung for the optional fan holding tool. I forgot the bracket (whoops!) but Iím trying to figure out how to use this holding tool. Is it late? Am I dense? Did I get the wrong part? Are the Germans drunk? This tool is perfectly flat and doesnt work with the fan blades on either end of the tool, multiple holes dont line up, etc. Can anyone tell me what Iím missing?

Not sure how the blades match up

Mounting holes dont line up either

Doesnít line up with the actual flywheel either.

Not sure what your trying to use it on, but SIP does list three tools for three different model scooter motors.

If it's perfectly flat, is it designed for the VAPE flywheel without the fan installed?

Trying to use it on a VBB. Regardless of the model, shouldnít things match in the kit?

Iíve tried it on just the flywheel. Look at the last picture. Only 1 out of 4 holes can work at the center of the tool. [/url]

This is the picture of the tool for a VBB it's bent.

Right. I saw that last night and added the picture of that in my initial post.

I said regardless of the model, why couldnít you have a universal tool? I understand lambretta flywheels are smaller but for a Vespa, what factors do you have to deal with that you need to have 3 variations of a tool?

More money for them. Both SIP and SCK have become greedy. Prices have been raised to the roof, little by little, the last 3 years. And since they run the whole European market, all of the others follow them...

Maybe after you bend it to that shape you can catch one mounting hole and a fin or two? Hmmm, trippy looking device. Maybe it's made to double as a whisker for a big vat of cream....OK, maybe not.....

Yeah wondering how a bent piece of wire holds a flywheel. Doubles as a marshmallow roaster?
