After doing a modest amount of homework I came to a conclusion.
I wanted a used Vespa (vs another brand)
Large frame
Biggest engine
Sporty model
Manly color
Great condition
Good price
I found “Charlene” and she satisfied all of the above. 2012 GTS300 Super in titanium color. When I got her home I began cleaning her from wheel to wheel. Then I began considering what mods I’d make to further satisfy me. I noticed photos of other same model scooters and realized the bonus. This scoot has a Paioli RS24 front shock! The seller didn’t identify this mod and at that time I didn’t know enough to spot it. Not a huge deal but an unexpected bonus is always welcome. Photos coming soon! Hoping things in Oregon dry up enough for some winter rides soon. Ride safe my new friends.

Paoli makes the RS24 shocks sold by Malossi. I've got these front and back.

If replacing the rears, consider upgrading to polyurethane bushings. Clauss Studios makes a set and are very affordable; really tightens up the ride.

Congrats and Welcome to MV.

Nice close-up of the RS24 shock. I just put one on my ET4, with a subtle but tangible improvement in ride and especially resistance to bottom-out. But what about a Full Scootal Nudity pic of the cleaned-up bike?
