Please bear with Me....
My mp3 300ie yourban has been great in all weathers. its done 30k now.
Got caught in heavy rain I have a weird issue.
So drove about 5 miles scoot running fine, stopped for fuel, on start up the scoot was running rough. Thought yeah probably getting water somewhere.
Struggle home and left it overnight. Started fine on morning and my 10 mile commute to work was fine. ( dry but cold weather)
Thought I will stop at spares shop on way home and pick up a new spark plug and some WD40, drove to shop fine, then on startup the scoot is running rough again like damp was making it miss again. weather still dry.

Rumbled home and got the engine light come up a few times.
Got home and give the coil and lead some WD40, left this overnight.

So third morning scoot running fine, done about 8 miles to work, thought I would stop and simulate issue from previous day. Turned scoot on and back on running rough again.
Weird.

You might have a water soaked air filter. Pop it open and give it a clean and check.

Or the ignition coil is wet.

Update after drive to work.
Did the 8 miles to work no problem, thought will turn off and on again see what happens.
Have tested the voltage on the battery thats fine so not the regulator

Same thing it coughs and splutters, my thoughts are now either coil or lambda sensor.

Engine stop switch?

Just flicking it on/off a few times might help if that's the problem..

(most people never use it - and switches, for some reason, don't like being ignored for a long time

One thing I forgot to ask, if I disconnect the o2 sensor will the bike run like a bag of crap or should it run ok.

It just can't get THAT wet because it sits inside the exhaust. It is sealed and heavily warmed up at each run. Also it works on middle rpms, not on idle or so.

Update on issue
So decided to get a kkl adapter (that works) and do some diagnostics on my mp3 with success.
IAWDaig worked and read the error code of P0130 Lambda Sensor to low.

So I have a question has anyone tested a 02 sensor before and what reading did you get.
I have removed mine and connected a multimeter set it to millivolts then proceeded to heat up the sensor, the voltage increases then it just jumps to 0. If I remove the heat the voltage drops back down but its all over the place.

As far as I understand the 02 sensor voltage should increase to about 800mv when heated then decease when heat is removed.

Lambda sensor fail very rarely and most of the time is the actual cable to the lambda that it gets damage. I would remove the lambda sensor and check the actual cable or look for small damage within the wires... If the voltage is low, there is a short in the wiring somewhere, that could be just a bit of water shortening the wires..

The fact that you got an intermittent engine light on, implies that the lambda is still possibly working, but the voltage is low and considering you mentioned the rain, you should find water somewhere in the cable or the connector/s

Thought I would put an update on to where I, am with my mp3.
Had to get it transported to garage, they check it over and found a few issues.
Compression was down to 130psi said it should be atleast 200
So they put a full cylinder and barrel kit on (got a good deal on it)
Compression fixed bike will now start but will not tick over. They have said the Tps is not reading correctly in Pads.
So now it's time to look for a used replacement throttle body
As refuse to pay 600 for new one.
Can, test it on Guzzidiag see ii it reads OK
Hopefully get it running.

Is your throttle body/ecu same as on 250cc? I have one after an accident with my 250cc mp3. Including keys and ignition lock, so no mess with reprogramming your key(s).
