Does the green seal in this photo look okay?? I it appears to extend abit further (a millimeter or two) at some points on the seam than others... at some points it’s flush. Thanks again.

Gaskets are mass-produced with a die-cutter to match approximately the facing surfaces of the castings they seal. Sometimes they don't match precisely. Sticky-outie is good. I worry more when I CAN'T see the gasket than when I can. |

Thanks everyone. I have no reason believe the seal was compromised.... except for perhaps me scraping it from the exterior with a totally mangled oil filter that was extremely difficult to remove and must have been installed by Hercules (or the Italian demi-god equivalent).

But it's a near brand new bike. A new bike that has been standing so gaskets don't get dirty. Even my own GTS in it's 5th year still has gaskets on the engine that look almost new. So I don't see any reason to be suspicious.
