Modern Vespa

For anyone else out there like me who is electronically challenged, I thought I would share my success of my wiring diagram I created with a BGM 12v electrical conversion (BGM stator and BGM Wiring loom).

This is a 70's American Market scooter with original switches: 3 stage main switch, right side handle bar switch(Hi/Low headlight, horn) and left side handle bar turn signal switch.

I hope this helps anyone else who is making the upgrade.

The worst thing about turn signals from AC power is they are sometimes not bright when at idle or low revs like sitting at a light ready to turn. Piaggio solved this problem on the PK's with no battery and added an AC to DC rectifier for the turn signals and the horn. Since the voltage is low you can add almost any outdoor AC to DC rectifier between the regulator wire and the turn signal flasher relay to get bright turn signal light. Some are even made for led if someone decides to go that route with led bulbs and flasher.
