tool box wont open

seem the two bits of lever miss each other

cant take it apart as screw inside is still done up tight

also has anyone seen my haynes manual fouund all my others except the vespa obne

Remove the left-hand black 'knee' cover. You should be able to use a very stiff wire or long prong of some sort to tickle the latch open. If you have very small hands and wrists then you might be able to get in there without any tool, but I certainly can't!

When replacing the whole assembly, use a rubber band (just as they did in the factory!) to hold the ign-switch actuator back against the steering column so that it'll then engage correctly when buttoning up.
