That's a good question, and I don't have an immediate answer. Maybe we need to divide it into two sections, possibly within the same article.

i added two acronyms - Toreador Pants, and OEM - not sure what the latter means yet but i think it's scooter related?

Genie, I took the liberty of adding the definition of OEM, original equipment manufacturer. I have to admit I borrowed it from wikipedia.

I added a couple of the most common ones. No explanation, just expanded the acronyms. I figure that a new user would have no way to know what it means otherwise, and I get tired of seeing people ask mid-thread.

For some reason I keep forgetting what HTFU and STFU mean, I do remember now and I wonder if we should have them in this section or not.

I don't know HTFU. But I do know STFU, and isn't it a little abusive for the forum? I can't recall an instance of seeing it on MV. Would it be tolerated?

I think we can leave them off, though. They're not really necessary.

LOL, I think I saw them twice today on MV. Totally OK by me to leave them off, I'll just google it when I can't remember.

I obviously don't know how to use a Wiki. See my addendum to the acronym posting. You may want to delete it.

"Since there is now a Not-So-Modern (NSM) section should there not be an entry for New-Old-Stock (NOS)?"

Editing the wiki isn't that hard -- you just did it.

Generally, though, the idea is that you would actually modify the article to include the content you wanted added / changed, as if it was one of your own posts and you wanted to revise it. Changes are tracked automatically, so you can edit to your heart's content, and the article can always be reverted to a previous version if necessary.

I've gone ahead and added an NOS entry to the article.
