The advance of the three wheel revolution.
With its MP3 Roof prototype, Piaggio is combining the agility and fun ride of a great scooter with a level of comfort and protection previously only found in a car. The MP3 Roof features a new concept of accessory in the form of a practical and elegant roof. Specially designed for the Piaggio three-wheeler, the roof permits all-year-round use in comfort and safety whatever the weather. If, on the other hand, you demand the utmost in functionality and versatility from your MP3, the answer comes in the form of the Piaggio MP3 Wagon tow-behind trailer.
The MP3 Roof and MP3 Wagon are just two of the vast variety of personalisation solutions available for Piaggio’s MP3 three-wheel scooter.
The Piaggio MP3, the innovative scooter with two front wheels, has revolutionised our concept of personal mobility. This all-Italian technology has redefined the comfort and safety available from a two-wheel vehicle. Though the MP3 delivers the same fun ride as a conventional scooter, it has taken comfort, versatility and road holding to another level altogether.
The Piaggio MP3 has already established itself as a universal scooter. The “Roof” and “Wagon” accessories are conceived to enhance this reputation. Both make use of the exceptional handling of the MP3 to add further weather protection, load carrying capacity and riding comfort.
The “Roof” equips the Piaggio MP3 with a fabric covering made from the material used for the latest generation of convertible hoods. The Roof exploits the comfort windshield to support a metal frame designed and made to preserve all the stability and safety of the MP3. With the Roof in place, the rider enjoys a level of comfort approaching that of a car, and is effectively protected against both wind and rain, without any reduction in the amazing safety and handling that the MP3 guarantees. Adding a roof to a conventional scooter inevitably affects its stability and control, but the Piaggio Roof does not alter the MP3’s riding characteristics at all, thanks to the solidity of Piaggio’s sophisticated two-wheel front suspension.
The “Wagon” on the other hand is a prototype conceived to extend the Piaggio MP3’s already extraordinary versatility and functionality. The MP3 already boasts an ultra-practical, dual access, under-seat storage compartment of 65 litres in capacity, large enough to hold items of up to 1 metre in length. Now, the Piaggio MP3 “Wagon” provides an innovative multi-purpose trailer to boost carrying capacity well beyond the limits of any other scooter. The trailer is connected to the scooter by a ball-joint system that lets the MP3 lean into bends normally.
