This is a Lambretta LI125 Riverside ( sold at Montgomery Ward department stores) that my club bought to restore and give away at this year's detroit rally, August 1-3. Mark it up on your calendar ... you can win this scoot ( and it will look completely done ) for just $1.00.

I've already gotten started on cleaning it up ... just wanted to show how even the worst looking stock paint jobs still have life in them underneath decades of surface rust and oxidation.

i found a lambretta in similar condition that i used rubbing compound on too and that stuff works wonders. i also sprayed some motul shine and go on it afterwards and it actually sparkled. that stuff rocks.

I used to detail cars way back when, we used this fine lblack liquid polish and a buffer, and that too would bring back the dead on paint. I think it's still commercially available. That looks really good.

Where's the link to buy tickets? I want it! Do you have to present to win?
