Didnt get GT .
Was asked by good lady what would I like to ride now and again and said GTS ,bad mistake.
ANYWAY, I want to know if the GT-60 is going to happen? There is talk of a limited production run of 5000 world wide.
Does anyone know anything about this or orders being able to be placed?
Dont tell me its fugly cause I dont care I love '50s touches.Just call me shallow and easily influenced by retro things.

Old Mod
PS. I am not posting often as only having PX I would consider it a bit cheeky on a modern vespa forum.

I'm showing my age, but it's funny to think of PX's as old school.

How's the Auckland scooter scene these days?

Welcome back Old Mod. I've missed you. Like Jess said, it doesn't matter what you ride, you're my link to what it was like in the good 'ol days of scootering. I love that sh*t!

Nice to be welcome
Or to quote the Beatles"will you still love me when I'm 65?"
Sooo I'm not alone and Tikko and Bryce agree its interesting
Harnadem the grey is to celebrate Piaggio aeronautical history as that was their corporate colour in those days.
Kiwiscoot i hope you looked at our site Images etc.Where are you from in Auckland and how long over the ditch?
JerryG I cant manage the sharp suits anymore folks would laugh, but take my word I was a Stylist and still like the jazz of the 60's.Blue Note label artistes mainly.
Hayes-our little subgroup of riders for informal rides is called the Whenuapai Posse, due to Ali-G.
Cheers All

If I could get one that was basically a GTS with fender light and chrome handlebars, I would do it. And I love that grey. I love the old Vespa colors which look like surplus military drab colors made shiny. The grey takes that concept and updates it a bit with what looks like a pearl and a very fine mica.

Colour
Yes Bryce I have seen different shots which are far more blue looking and as you say a bit military.
The seats and grips are real leather.

Lots of 1950 and 60's postcards/manufacturers pamphlets .
Same for you Bryce cause they have lots of shots in the pamplets of the Peugeot Elite S55 I always thought that was a choice scooter.
Take your time .Enjoy

I always thought it would be fun to get a VBB, Sprint, or an SS180, but damn, that Peugeot is ugly cute. If I thought I could ever find one I'd probably get one.

Bryce , fab scooter most unusual neumann rubber suspension almost like a rubber band. 125 so a bit underpowered could have been big with a 150engine but they never did.Great accessability body canted up from rear. Very classy I always thought.

Yeah, but I thought the GT-60 was a GT200 with the fender light treatment.
