I believe so Leon, because in the registration book it is stated that this vespa was shipped from Taiwan to Indonesia in 1974.
When I bought this vespa, the Chinese character was there in very bad condition. Mr. Christ of VCOT, Taiwan helped me by sending this new Chinese character.

Thanks for the compliment.

Found this vespa by a coincident. I was on my way back home when I saw this vespa laid down on a steet in a very bad condition and only covered by ARMY raincoat. I talked to the owners and after long a negotiation, finally he agrred to sell this vespa for US$ 80.00.

Restoring this vespa was not a very big problem for me, but finding out all emblems/accessories was a great one. It was extremely consumed my time and money (for sure). I had to call friends in Taiwan to get the The Chinese character and other emblems.

But once I have completed my restoration, and that was my great satisfaction.

You have a nice ET4 too. I wish I had this one.

These are local whitewall tires. I bought only about US$ 20.00 for 3 tires.

MY 1993 CORSA (automatica)
I have to get used to riding this automatic scooter.
A bit awkward for me as this scoot only has one gear, no brake pedal on the right floor board, could not find the choke under my legs and kick starter become useless....

Thanks big 7-baz!

No, this scoot was produced by local factory "DAN MOTOR" in 1993.
DAN MOTOR had a license from PIAGGIO since 1970 to produce all variant of vespa for Indonesian market. Unfortunately the coy collapsed in 2006 and did not produce anymore since.

It was probably made by PGO, which started making Vespas in Taiwan in '72.

Since that, Taiwan exported various types of vespa mainly to Japan market and Taiwan offered very rare types for this market.

You can use my small frame 90cc for example. This scooter was produced in early 70's and used a mini VLA/B headset rather than the square headset.

Please check this out:

But anyway, this is the beauty of Vespa.
Vespa can adapt to local market's taste!!!

Yes, the guard will protect my original tail light.
Yours (GTS and Rally) are awesome!

Hi Nin,

I'm not pretty sure whether or not this headset is original. Previous owners said that he never did make replacement to the scoot.
The ony thing that I am sure of is in the registration papper, it is stated that this scoot was shipped from Taiwan to Cigading, Merak (West Java) in the 70's. So that I will assume that this headset attached to the scoot since it was produced in 70's in Taiwan. I've also checked this thing with the President of Vespa Club Owner Taiwan (VCOT) and luckily he gave me a reference site for Taiwanese scooter.

Hope this site will explain a bit:
