I've been waiting for this to arrive for quite some time. The crate arrived this afternoon and I took time off to assemble and install it. I went cruising this evening. It's a whole new animal with the sidecar but still fun.

That is a mighty fine looking rig. They look like a great match and the extra bits on the car look nice - the bars around the nose and the fender, nice windshield which will be appreciated by your passengers - all looks GREAT! Looks like it was worth the wait.

Enjoy,
Karen

This may be a Modern forum... but we owe it all to the greats that came before us. There is still nothing like the styling of a classic Vespa.

I am jealous... That is fine!

The sidecar really does look like it was designed for your scoot. 8)

It's different in that is doesn't lean anymore, for one. As I accelerate, it tends to pull Right from the weight of the car. And when stopping, it pulls left. I had heard that some of these rigs have a bad "head-shake" at 20-30 mph. I must have this setup pretty well because I don't experience any of that, thank goodness. I was really worried about it. I certainly wouldn't want to have put this on my 125 cc Vespa. It does loose some power pulling the sidecar around. It can be removed with 5 bolts. I do like that as well.

I appreciate all the positive feedback. Thanks for indulging my vintage obsession on the modern forum.

I've had them about two years. I like them. They're actually a tubeless tire but work with a tube also. Good traction. I got them more for the thin white wall (and it never hurts to be seen). Now, I have to decide if I should buy a tire for the sidecar to match the rest. What do you think?

I'd like to see a side-by-side of this one and the one you got "papaw", is it?
