faulty injector

morning all, trouble at mill I'm afraid. my little mp3 250 decided not to start this morning. was running tickady-boo yesterday.after lengthy investigating it turned out to be the injector was not, well... injecting petrol at all to be honest.
lucky I have 2 250's and though this one has an injector that also returns fuel to the tank but other 250 has a none return injector.i was able to swap around and found faulty injector.
bloody strange it just stopped working. no gunk on exit holes.what I would like to know is. is it possible to take the thing apart and if so what am I looking for?
a new one is around 90 plus 5 delivery from fowlers of Bristol.

In view of it being a total failure I would suspect the electrical side. Compare the resistance with a reasonably accurate meter and you will probably find the faulty one is open circuit. A good one probably has a resistance of between ten and twenty ohms. You could also apply a twelve volt supply to it and see if it clicks open.

I was looking at this last night for another bike. There is a uk cleaning service on ebay for 12.50 plus 9.95 postage to return the injector. includes a nice graph an all information to show clean flow rates and pattern.

Injectors are the same and you can replace them. You just have to pull out thiny shiny metal part and then pull out plastic upper part where are pipe "connectors" and swap them.
Also check harness injector connector since can be broken and cause same symptoms. One pin should have +12V and another pulses toward ground (-).

Apart from paying for next day delivery and have it turn up 10 days later.the new injector fired it up Lickerdie plitt.I test new injector outside of engine to see the fuel spray pattern was good then inserted into body and booooom it fires to life.lol
Iv added a volt meter to the scooter to keep an eye on all things battery.iv already had the dreded tilt lock red warning light with bleeping on one occation which dissapeared after a turn it off and on again ignition reset.again thank you all for reading.
