So my bike is going in to have the back tire replaced this week ( crappy pirellis only a little more than 2000 miles on the rear? ) and I have decided to have the calipers powder coated. Im thinking that Ill go with red, but would like the input of my fellow MV'ers. My bike is White Diamond, so I think the red will look good. What do you all think?

The red will look good-- though you might choose to amuse us by selecting another color just to set yourself apart. 8)

I think the red might look "off" with the diamond white. Maybe a nice plum or dare I say it Deborah .... Cobalt Blue would be sharp and IMHO go better with that sweet suede seat! Are you thinking of powder coating anything else the same color? Foot rests etc. ?

Cobalt blue is seconded. You could also do a nice bright green and it would look super cool. Kind of like those white and green Adidas jackets you used to be able to get.

Cobalt blue.... funny that came up. I also asked a bunch of people at a party I was at last night, and blue was named as the color most people would like to see. As for coating anything else, I will do the rims eventually, probably chrome them, and If I was going to do the foot pegs, I would do them the same color as the bike ( or as close as I could come ) so they would blend in better. This was a last second thing as I found a guy that will coat the calipers for 15 bucks each in Jacksonville, and the cheapest guy around me wanted 45, so I couldn't pass it up.
I should have the bike back by thursday or friday of next week. I will post some pics as soon as I can. Eyeman 8) |

Ya, if I had those calipers, Id chrome em. Im in the process of finding someone around my dealer to chrome the rims. Ill do that on its 3600 mile service. For now I think Im going to go with the blue.
