On a recent trip out to the grocery store I found my list of wants to be more than I had space to stick things. I was shopping for a gathering I am attending tomorrow, as a group of us race our Jack Russell Terriers. I had my 35L top case, as well as the under seat storage full and I don't think I have ever been so thinkful that I had the helmet hook on the front of the seat to carry my last two bags. I did still have room in the glove box though. [/img]

Thank you! Yes it is a copper color and custom paint. I bought it from the dealer that way. I recently added the topcase (I'm Glad I Did) and plan to have that and my helmet painted to match.

Welcome, Zippityjacks!
That's pretty full! I thought I did well Thursday when I brought home 11 frozen food boxes from Market Day (school fund raiser with surprisingly good stuff!) Had under the seat full, Vespa top case full, and cloth bag hanging from the hook full, plus my daughter on the back. Ain't scootering great! [edit] You even have to have county sickers on scooters!? Nice Jeep, BTW! Do you know a R Geer up near Madison? (New Rochelle) He's got a couple of old Jeeps and goes to rallys. He and his son built another one up a couple of years ago for the son. I used to work down your way on the south side of Orange. And we had the MGA (see sig) down in C'ville three years ago for the annual get-together. Sure was fun driving on those roads just along the outside of the park boundaries! Again, Welcome! |

Sorry, I sure don't! The jeep was the last of my husbands batchlor-hood and he refuses to part with it. I stays current but rarely makes it out of the driveway. It made the longest trip of its most recent life when we moved from NoVa to C'vill 2 years ago. Now it just makes a fun background for my Vespa pictures!! LOL

One day I went to the store and in the trunk I had a box of cereal, gallon of milk, some odds and ends, and between my legs......large bundle of toliet paper....I think it was about 24 or so rolls....wedged between the glove box and the seat.

So far (just hit 300 miles) 40 pound bag of dog food, that wasn't a big deal.
/The cowboys at the feed store always look at me odd - guess it's picking up dog food on a scooter or in an English truck (anything but a 'merican made F-150's must scare them) Been considering about taking my wife's pink Razr phone to really mess with them. |

Dog food was on the Vespa floorboard (insert the Harley joke about the dirt bag on the seat here - no offense to most Harley owners)
It didn't disrupt my balance and once it was in place it didn't move. My goal is car free for a month, including the Costco run. |

I frequently have the top box full, the "pet carrier" full and a bag on the bag hook.
The most I've had is all of the above, plus a brief case on the floorboard and a computer case on the seat behind me. The most awkward thing I've carried is my son's large baseball bag (catcher's gear) across the back of the seat. Now I have soft panniers and a "tank bag", so I can really load up. Today I did two big loads: the family drug store shopping and some grocery shopping. The only things that has limited me so far is not wanting to scratch the paint. |

You people ever been out of country ??
In the Dominican Republic I have seen an entire family (5 persons) on a single scooter*. I have seen them going down the road with a propane tank (big one) laid across the floor board. They carry long loads (like a ladder, or piece of pipe) between two scooters (front and rear). I have seen 'em carry televisions, beer kegs, bicycles, water heaters, coolers and boxes of every description. And let us not forget the tourist and thier purchases. Load of groceries ? ... no problemo, man. The only thing I think they do not tote on the back is another scooter. * Since you ask: Two on the seat (mom and dad), one on the carrier, one standing on the floorboard and baby in somebody's arms (it varies). |

There was probably a time when I would have tried to pack a bunch of people on a beat up scooter (once drove with 8 people in a Mini..a 'real' Mini), but I'm smarter now.
