Get this book for free!

I saw this offer over on the adventure rider forum.

I got mine in the mail a few days ago - it's really a nice book for free! The signup page makes it sound like a brochure, but it really is a full guide that gets shipped to you.

Enjoy!

Nice tip! I ordered mine also, and this is even nicer when you look at the link to Amazon and see that they have it for sale at $16.50 plus shipping.

Thanks Uncle Sam. my tax dollars actually worked for me this time!

FREE!

I signed up too! Am I getting a book or a brochure or a map?

Amazon shows a book. The form uses the word "brochure". and After submitting the form it says "your map is on the way"

I realize beggars mustn't be choosers, but I am a little confused.

I retire in 22 months and now I'll have to set my sights on touring every scenic drive in that book on the Vespa
Notice it got a 5 out of 5 star rating Also, if Nat.Geographic is involved, you know the photos will be outstanding!!

Wow, I was a contributor to the National Scenic Byways Online website back in 1999. It didn't pay much at all but they did reimburse me for gas and film whenever I would drive on some of the most beautiful roads in America.

I'm glad to see these guys are still around. It looks like they've come a long way in the last 10 years.

Thanks for the link!

Just ordered mine. You'd think that National Geographic would automatically send me one for free since I've been a subscriber since the sixth grade.

I wish that were the case but no, I'm really not anything great. I worked as a contributor to National Scenic Byways Online, a website run by funds from the Fedral Highway Administration. The guide that NSBO is sending folks is made by National Geographic. The two are not related.

National Scenic Byways Online = good info on scenic roads around the U.S.
National Geographic = good info (and awesome photographs) of people, places, and animals in places you will likely never visit.

That's funny, and of course when the guys in the dark suits come to our door asking why there is a run on these books and that someone is in big trouble for letting this info leak...........we'll just blame

Or maybe you'll all end up with brochures instead of books
