![]() Why thank you good sirs.
Nice to keep a geared Vespa for old times sake but that old fiend "Arthur Itis" prevents regular use nowadays. In traffic my wrists ache even after a short journey. 37 years of geared scoots could be considered repetitive strain?! My GTS gets more miles in nowadays.

I'm calling BS on this, you guys just find it easier to jump on your newer ones instead of endlessly fiddling w/ your old ones so they're easy to ride. OK, easier, they'll never be as easy as your effortless belt drive machines. Now I'm off to take my usual Aleve for back & shoulder, when/if my hands start to go that way, I just hope I can still shift scooter gears same as my little truck & Golf. Knock wood, my year older brother had to give up manual cars because his leg didn't wanna clutch any more. ![]() |

Bravo...
A psychic mechanic!. Wondrous! I never thought a real live genius would be found hereabouts. Narcissus was from Athens wasnt he? Fell in love with himself. With all that manly wrist action you brag about you obviously get the practice in... falling in love with yoursrlf nightly. You clearly have the manual skills to be an accomplished masturbator. My wrist is as you say undeveloped so I have others do it for me. Ha. Have at you Sir. What say you Sir? What further tales of your wristed prowess will you amaze us with? Your audience awaits your jewel like wit with (mastur) baited breath |

Maybe if I sold my PX and kept the GTS, you might be on to something, Sherlock. ![]() |

![]() Geez... did I hit a nerve? My apologies if my lame attempt at intentionally mild and hopefully self deprecating ribbing in a mostly shifty thread has created such distress for you. TeeToo, you seem obsessed with something, can't quite understand what you want.
I'm ALL shifty by personal preference, not because they're 'better' and I'll bet a dollar I'm older than either of you. Just send me your PayPals if I'm wrong and please accept my further apologies. BTW, my hands are of average size, if you know what I mean. Thought you'd want to know, TT. PS Lose the whitewalls. Thank you for the 'jewel like wit' comment though. I try and sometimes fail, but a compliment from an expert means a lot and encourages me. |

![]() different
I like it. Well made custom box up front w/ that in-your-face fancy leather drink holder, unusual color cues and full on chrome fixtures w/ fairly normal lites & mirrors - what's not to like?. OK, I'd just use an early P tail lite, but that's me. And narrower whitewalls next time you need tires? Maybe needs a modest mudflap in back too.

![]() Today I'got my LML back from the mechanic. I've changed the color from metallic silver to mat gray from GTS model. Rims are now black and I've added few more stuff like windshield and glove box shelf . Still waiting for some parts but it is 95% finished. How it looked you can see on page #28.
I'm super excited! ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() There are a lot of very cool rides in this thread. I would like to contribute mine
![]() She's a 1979 P125X My registration says that she was originally grey, but the previous owner painted it sky blue at some point, which I actually quite like to be honest. When I bought it the other day it had quite a fuel leak and none of the lights worked and it had some tacky reflective stickers on the cowls which I removed. I had to wait until it was dry out so that I could take the carb apart to see what the problem was, I couldn't figure it out, so I bought a carb rebuild kit. Turns out that the screws that hold the float cover down were just slightly loose and fuel was coming out and draining to the ground. Problem solved! I'll still rebuild the carb at a later time. As for the lights, it just needed a new battery! Today I put a new spark plug in and drove it the rest of the day. Since today is my wedding anniversary, my Wife and I hopped on and rode over to where we got married and also scooted down to check out the kites and stuff going on on Jetty Island and Port Gardner. Then came home. This scooter is incredibly satisfying to ride. I am very happy, I've wanted a P series since I was a kid. ![]() Last edited by Championstuff on Sat Jun 25, 2016 1:54 pm; edited 1 time in total
