Took the MSF course this past weekend, and then decided to go shopping today. After spending a few hours at one dealership, and taking a test ride, i was sold on the GTS250! Here she is, I'll try to get more pics when i'm not too busy riding around all over the place!

Congrats on your new purchase. It's beautiful, Mike! The white is really stunning.

Hey, that's another "misbadged 300". It has all the details of the 300 Super, like the grooves at the back right side and front, black wheels with clear rim "striping" and black ring in the headlight, but it actually is a 250 because of the engine. Cool, dude!

You can't tell if it is misbadged unless you see the decal and I can't make it out from the picture. In the US there is actually a GTS250 super that has all the features that you mentioned above but are not 'misbadged' unless they say GTS300 on the side.

Okay I have to ask. Either why is there a car and scoot in your living room or why is there a couch in your garage? Are you in hot water with your wife?

Ok long story, short version. My aunt gave us a couch but we are remodeling our livingroom and the carport is where it rests for now. But it is cool to go sit in the morning and stare at my Vespa. HAHAHAHAHA!

Mine is mislabeled and as I understand it... there are about 149 others, but Vespa sent the dealers new badges for the scoots. When I bought mine I asked for it to stay labeled a 300.
Plus.... My buddy at the scooter shop said he understands that Vespa IS bringing the bigger 300 to the USA next year.

Oooh I hope that is true. I almost bought the scoot like yours. If the dealer had a black one I would have probably caved and bought the 250 instead of my BV500. I have been hinting at the wife that I need a 'backup' scooter

I was aware of the misbadged ones. Hopefully you can get the dealer to give you the letter with the replacement badge hooked to it with your vin on it. That might make your scoot worth more in the long run.

haha Just had to ask. I went through the remodel thing I feel for you. I won't ever do that again. When we moved to Texas we had a house built so we could have everything we wanted picked from the beginning so there is no desire to remodel. (That was painful too by the way). We have 3 couches in our house how can I manage to get one in the garage so I can stare at my scoot?

It was not too hard. The couch issue. Just tell your wife that you need a place to sit and watch the scooter.
I think our remodeling is going to be not bad. we are replacing some laminate flooring with ceramic tile. We hope it turns out well.

Argh - it's been raining here in NJ all weekend. At the most I was able to ride the Vespa for a total of 15min between Friday and Today. Well, I cleaned out the garage and made room for the Vespa. Also put three coats of wax on it to.

Eventually, i would like the get the rear rack and a top case for more storage. I have a battery tender on order on order, so that should arrive later in the week

Here she is, in the garage:

I have only 258 miles on it since Monday, but that's because the weather hasn't been so cooperative the past 3 days. Otherwise, it probably would be double that

I'm riding it into work tomorrow, so I'll probably take the really long way home
