Yes i did thanks mate, got 2 from Lidl (cheapo supermarket) made by Stanley (the tool makers not the bloke) one big 8 bulb LED one small 3 bulb... but the best thing apart from the price, £12, They both have tripod legs and adjustable angle heads so you can stick them on the floor , angle the heads in any direction and you dont have to keep your bloody finger on the button to get light out of the buggers, HOORAH!

they are 8mm. if you are using nyloc don't forget to get wave washers as well.

mmmm... wave washers you say, what's the benefit of wave washers over fibre washers? I've got fibre washers cos i dont want to screw up the powder coating on the rims.

any washers are going to protect the paint to some extent, since you've got friction between the turning nut and rim.

Vespas seemed to really like a combination lock washer and flat washer for this sort of thing. Lambrettas seemed to use wavy washers.

the wave washer adds a spring element so that pressure is applied more evenly as you tighten the nut. It also assures that if the nut loosens at all there will still be pressure applied. It should also protect the paint as the nut will be sliding against the washer instead of the rim. Also wave washers are rather thin leaving more thread for the nylon in the nyloc to grab onto.
