Hi,

Just found that someone had been "tampering" with my bike whilst parked. No visible damage and there were too many locks and alarms for it to be stolen, but the steering is now out of alignmentn.

Does anyone know how you re-align it? Used to be a bolt on the PX that you just adjust, not sure what the options are on the GTS though. If you know how to do it on a GT I would presume it is almost the same.

Thanks,

Charles.

there's an allen bolt and nut on the fork tube.
I had to adjust mine as the dealer had flaked on it.
You just remove the front (headlight) of the headset and it's all there.
Unlike my et though there is no locating slot.
I had to eyeball it.
Took me a couple goes, getting it where I thought it should be, putting it back together, go for a ride, taking it apart again, marking the two seperate parts with a marker pen so I had a reference point and tweaking it on the second try.

Marc,

Thanks for the tip, exactly what I needed to know.

Can you just clarify the removal of the front headset part as you seem to imply that I have to remove the headlight too (perhaps).

I have the workshop manual so know how to remove some of the bits, but not sure exactly which you mean.

Thanks again,

Charles.

OK, just dropped by my local dealer and they explained in detail how to sort this.

Now to take the bike apart!

Charles.
