I've been thinking of adding a few guages to my scoot. Listed in order of priority are tachometer, voltmeter and cylinder head temp. The voltmeter and cyl head temp sender are going to be a cinch...but the tach looks like its not going to work. I've looked at both for VDO or Autometer tach's but the sender are all listed for 4,6 or 8cyl engines. Has anyone found a sender for a VDO/Autometer that works for a 4 stroke single? The only ones I've found so far are these digital tachs....looking for a dial...any suggestions?

Interesting post etpower. I've got an idea for using an existing product to measure voltage, ambient temperature, and engine temperature. It may require modification, and I don't currently have one. Once I've secured the product, and I've got it to work with the scooter, I'll provide the details. Stay tuned...

I use one of these in the engine compartment. It is a tach and hour meter. Great for setting idle speed:
