How do you get the red plastic cover off? I was expecting to see some screws like on my car. Does it pop off? Or do I have to remove other parts of the scooter to get it off? Thanks!

You have to loosen the two license plate light screws and remove the plastic piece. You should see two screws underneath that hold the taillight. Take those screws out and the taillight should come free once you unplug it. It is pretty easy.

look under the small bumper shaped piece under the tail light (housing the license plate light )

you will see two screws

once removed you will see the screws holding the tail light in place

Thanks! I would never have thought to remove my license plate to get at the taillight.

You don't have to remove the license plate, just the little plastic trim piece right above the plate that houses the light that illuminates the plate. Once the trim piece is removed you can see the screws to remove the tailight.
