My ET4 has been sitting for 6 months, and the carb is gummed up (I guess). It starts perfectly, but won't rev up without shutting down. It runs well at idle. I filled the tank with gas, and I've let run for quite some time at idle, cranked it up slowly many many times. Turned it off, and cranked the handle many many times. Nothing improves the problem. I've looked in the manual to see where the carb is located, and I can't even figure that out. I assume if I can find the carb and squirt some antigunk liquid of somekind into it, that might clean it out and get it running.

I have no Vespa dealer nearby, and I of course can't run it.

Any suggestions?

Hi mate, Though it sounds key related, i.e. scooter will not rev above 2000 rpms. Your carb is located under your pet carrier. There might be a small black rubber cover over it. I will try and find a picture for you.
