Well, I already know I need to replace my handlebars (bottom of headset). This barn find had the thread patterns to the main bolt that holds the fork and the headset in line, destroyed. If I remember right, the top of the fork has an indentation in the side, to keep things in line. But I think this one was drilled a bit more than usual. It doesn't look too bad, but I don't really remember how it's supposed to look. If you all would help me out, I'd sure appreciate it. I hope this makes sense, but hopefully these pics will explain a bit better. Bottom line: Do I need new fork, based on what the top of it looks like? With the pics of the handlebars, hopefully you'll see what was done. They had two screws wedged in this hole to keep things somewhat stable.

Thanks!

No mate, There is enough beef on there, though i would just weld a filler piece on anyway.

Providing your fork is straight, and your bolt secures it TIGHTLY use it.

The more i look at your pictures and story about your scooter, i think, if you do use it then have it welded at a shop or send it to me.

Cheers
