Bill, you look like a former coworker's doppelganger!
Is your former coworker a science teacher, by any chance?
Nah! That would be as if comparing diamonds to crystal.

Birreh is much more handsome.

But why so serious Bill?

Here I am while on my annual motorbike trip in Europe this June. I believe we were in Umbria, Italy when this was taken. I'm on the left and the gentlemen on the right is from the Boston area, the other 3 are from Germany. The center and young man on his left are father and son. This was a week long trip, starting and ending near Munich, Landshut to be specific.

I haven't posted on this thread in ages.

Here's a shot from a few months ago at our son's graduation / commissioning ceremony. He's been serving for a couple of years in the special forces and was persuaded to go to the academy to become an officer.

I got rear ended with Bo one morning. Insurance totaled it. Looking back I wish I had bought it back, but hindsight and all. New(er) scoot is a 2012 GTS 300 named Tethys. It's the titanium, and Tethys was a Titan goddess.

I really miss Bo though.

Rocket got rear ended three years ago.

I stopped carrying collision on it years before that, and it wasn't badly damaged (it may look bad but was an easy fix)

I believe that the insurance company would have totaled it, and I would have ended up declining that deal anyway.

So I repaired it myself and am still riding it a lot.

Bill

backend took the worst of it , but the sides were messed up as well as the front end. had (and still have) shoulder injuries, but it could have been lots worse. I got lucky.

It has been more than a year since any photos have been posted here, so I thought I would give it a boost with a family selfie taken this week in California.

Lots of new posters who haven't put photos here yet...

Since Bill is exposing himself I figured I'll follow his lead. This photo was made two weeks ago while out making photographs in a nearby forest. Haven't rigged the Vespa to haul the view camera yet.

Last weekend at Big Bend NP in southwest Texas. It. Is. A. Scooter. Paradise!!!!! Big Bend, along with Davis Mountains area is on my list of places to be on a Vespa. Hoping that’ll happen in about 5 years when the whole family has a scooter and we trailer them out there to skip all the really straight, windy, and too-fast-for-a-scooter roads that take you there.

Hey that's hella better than the Indy picture anyway.

Is it just me, or are grandparents getting younger these days?

Sure they are, because we’re the grandparents and we refuse to admit we’re getting older.
