The other day my P200E was running great and then I went to start it again and the kickstart moved a couple times then seized. It won't budge from it's up position. Does anyone know what my options are? Or how hard of a fix could this be? I've taken the engine out and replaced the cylinder and the piston in the past. I'm not at all anxious to work on the bike again, but if it's not to bad to fix I will try.

it could be a whole bunch of different things, really... like a broken ring that's holding the top end fast... or a bit of metal in the teeth of your primary drive... or something loose in the clutch area. I would just start taking stuff apart until it frees up.

Can you rotate the flywheel the opposite way by hand, or is it locked up that way too ?

Make sure nothing (like a carb screw or spring) went down the carb throat and is now jammed into your rotary pad.

Whatever you do, don't go ramming on the kickstart lever or trying to bump start the bike until you find the problem or you'll just eff it up worse.

This happened to me the other day and here is the result.

I hope it's not the same issue for you.

Does it free up when you pull in the clutch? that will tell you if the issue is with the K/S or further up in the motor.

I'm not sure if there is any way to be 100% sure about it without splitting the cases and having a look.

Good luck,

Wil

i have this problem with my p150 recently, same symptom as your P200, before you taken out the motor, check your automatic oil mixer is it working properly? if not then it was low or no 2T oil problem. as the result the piston get stuck on the barrel, because of no lubrication. you should try to pour 2t oil into the barrel from spark plug hole, to help lubricating the piston. goodluck
