I just realized that the oil deflector is missing on my clutch for some reason, it wasn't there before the motor was taken apart and it was running fine
so is it ok to put it back without the oil deflector?
it's the piece refered as metal collar in this guide,

guess i never paid much attention to the function of that piece...but in no case would the retaining ring pop off and inward with that collar in place.
