i noticed that when i look from behind i see that the wheel isnt straight, but slightly twisted to the engine side, than i noticed that the mountings that hold the engine to the frame need to be replaced. am I right?

I think we discussed this with regards to P-series scoots a long while back and concluded that some tilt is normal. What kind of angle is the wheel at?

ok , more questions, the kickstart lever should not be this high. also a pic of the wheel, and without the plastic fairing.

Whoa one question at a time! I think I have that much tilt on my P200 wheel, doesn't look too bad to my inexperienced eye.
Is it possible your kickstart was removed by someone and re-mounted at the wrong angle? |

mmm could be, next week i am hoping to have sorted everything at my local shop, especially the clutch. i am also thinkink of changing the colour to something less dull, to be honest i would really love to shave that square rear frame to look something like a PX.

If you want the look of a PX then buy a PX. |

old vespas are quite rare aver here, lambrettas were more popular back then. the thing that holds me from doing so is that there are only 4, maybe 5 T5 here. and mine was restored from ground up.

Do you know what is under the arse on that. It's not just a bit of box welded to the back.
You'll be better off buying a px if thats what you want. As for the colour that has to be one of the best examples of an anthracite MK1 Ive ever seen. If you lived over here I'd snap your hand off for it. |

i have to agree with all of you. being so rare and with so much history, it would be a big mistake shaping history to my own taste, its not fair.

The greatest fun is pulling up beside a P2 on your MK1 they laugh at you because your on an unstylish scoot (as the uneducated seem to think). Then you open it up and go, they cant catch you. Or If they can it takes a while. Mine used to make me grin like an idiot under my helmet.
Now mine has a totally different effect on people The only thing I would do with yours is add a yankee seat |

nope,don't like it one bit!
nope, not one bit at all! the wheel is way off and the kickstart is a good indication that the motor is broken, don't waist your time nothing on that t5 looks right. i got an idea, since it's not a good bike at all, what do ya say i pay to ship that lump over to me and take that burden off your hands. i'm so sorry that you've had to put up with that THING. you should get yourself a better bike. i am kidding in a big way. |

the only thing i can think is in the case there are two rubber stoppers for the kick quadrant-one of them may be missing-or floating around in there
that could be a problemo |

^ they sway from the rear quite a bit and the whole bike will vibrate like anything. lol i still go on the motorway on mine like this...... make things interesting.... new mounts on friday though
you should be able to pick up play by using a large screwdriver to lever the engine whilst watching the bush if its toast |
