Well, what a week..Set off at 7.30 Friday morning in warm and sunny weather (See Solid...shouldn't have gone on Thursday... )
After a ride through the leafy Kent lanes, which was nice,we hit the main A roads (one down from a freeway for you lot.. ),then the time dragged, due to me having to hang on for my family in the car..(No lane splitting for me!!) But arrived at the ferry port with minutes to spare, and parked with the other scoots.Had lost the car in Portsmouth, but as I watched the earlier ferry pull away,my phone rang."Ah,she's delayed",thought I..."Are you on the ferry yet? We've just pulled away, and it's lovely on deck..."
Anyway, found each other after my (later) ferry, found the holiday camp we were staying in,LOADS of scooterists staying there.Moseyed into town for the evening do,but retired about midnight due to fatigue...
Next day, went to the campsite, spent FAR too much in the dealer's market..My phone rings and it's some Australian bloke... Arranged to meet for a beer later that night,(which we did...Cheers Marc, mine's a Fosters top.... )
Spent the rest of the afternoon in the custom show, and chilling on the seafront with a cold beer...
Sunday, watched the rideout, more sun and drinkies, and stayed on our camp in the evening, they had a band on called the Buzztones.Played old new wave stuff, really good.
Monday,we were homeless! Plan was to find somewhere else to stay,or a campsite for a few days, till riding to Mersea Island rally on Thursday.Got a bit worried,as most places were booked up still, but BOY,did we fall on our feet with where we found...This is the view from our (5 star) caravan in the morning....
Anyway,enough waffle...pics??
Couple of nice custom GTS's..
Saw this chopper buzzing around...I WANT IT!!
