Lunch
After all the standing in the hot sun waiting for the tow truck, ice tea really hit the spot. |

Done for the day
We made it back to the hotel, only slightly worse for wear. We skipped the second half of the day that we had planned and bee-lined it back. Time to decompress... Here's a few more pics to look at while we go get a few beers. |

A rest stop on the wh back home
We abbreviated the rest of the day to get Ray back home. But it's all good. I'm wondering if the GTS will get more use now? |

And then there were 8.
Everyone is fine. Ray took a wild ride down the hill, tho. His riding pants saved his ass. Literally! (This thread does not tell a linear story. Annoyed because I was first to arrive on the scene, not counting Cody who was still traumatized from watching Ray bounce to his not-doom. Uploading in the mountains and all. Oh well! This WOULD have been first!) ⚠️ Last edited by Bonkers on UTC; edited 1 time

Thanks for the updates boys... this looks like a really great ride (other than the whole ditch thing ).
Keep riding, be safe. |

Heh. I wish I were there.
All I did today was burn recovery discs for laptops people haven't even bought yet. |

Series of pics from the graveyard
...To which Ray added his Duc. Yes yes; we've likely seen versions of a few of these already! Sheesh! (I've been having uploading issues) I'll do my part to clean up my posts when I get home. Edit: Now in process. ⚠️ Last edited by Bonkers on UTC; edited 2 times

Looks like you guys had a great ride going there! The pics are great and it sounds like a lot of fun, can't wait to hear the deets at the next meeting!
Ray, I'm so sorry about the Duc and am glad you're okay... you can always get a new Duc, can't get a new Ray! |

Dirt
Oz finishing the last of the 4 dirt switchbacks heading out of honeydew. He was kind enough to get stuck for a bit giving me time to get the camera out. |

At Honeydew
Some mugging at a bridge. Good times. Very beautiful day, lots of sun, very warm. Hit at least 94 on the way in to Garberville. |

Dog and bikes
Patrick and I took a different route than the other 6, and didn't stop for that many pictures. But we ended up at the lunch checkpoint first. Good times. Ordering food now. Rockhopper has joined us at the table, and our waitress is confused by it. |

Hey, everyone. Just wanted to say thanks for the well wishes. Aside from being a little sore, bruised ego, embarrassed, disappointed, and sad I ruined the ride for everyone, all else is peachy. I took amtrack, bus, and BART home. That was more traumatizing than the accident.
The 1.5 days of riding I spent with this group was such a blast! I will get another mc (sorry, OZ) and we'll do this again (minus the ditch diving). Seeing these birds circle around us should have been my sign...
This is what it feels like to be Godzilla (before the crash)
Macho, macho men! They did it, saved the totaled bike from the grave!
Laying in pain while the guys pose with their catch.
