yups not that rare either in fact i am now trying to bargain my friend sera headset for $5 (wanna try to reshape it to be round) or better swap with my super trap head
why would you want to do that? better use PX head if you want to reshape it, cos PX head still plenty around, but PS Box headlight? i dont think u will find it as much as PX headlight... better yet why dont you use indian mad PX head?

just my two cent[/quote] i have done in ekslusif II metal headset but turn out it wasnt big enough to match my veloce headset so i wanna do a experiment with a sera headset which i know is bigger in overall then a ekslusif headset and i dont buy repop parts as i believe the stock are way more stronger and rideable

ps: one of ur friend in local forum suffer a huge crash cause of broken indian mad px head (the new px wannabe headset)

If you can find one that is awsome, the Headlamp houseing is Metal and the top cover that the speedo bolts into is plastic. so you think this is a SERA Edition? im not sure I know a huge amount about this bike, I baught it from the Scooter Super Store owners private collection, He had everything there even a few Vespa Cars and his Main Store is in Miami Florida but its a huge huge store and he had several locations threw out the usa that where huge and when he died his brother wanted to sell off everything, his private scooter collection was over 500 bikes and he had them all in a warehouse that had AC.

If you can get a headlamp that would be awsome if you can find one for me and ill pay to ship it here, also if you think my Scooter is a SERA edition and if it orignal had the Side Cowl Emblems and you can find them id be intrested. Its hard to Explain this bike to people all the time and if there was a emblem weather its a SERA or a P150s side cowl emblem it would make it easyer

VBX is prefix number for vespa PS e.g VBX1M is for the motor VBX1T is for the frame (not really sure coz actually the strada had the frame for the PX thus it could be VLX1T)

VSX1T is for the frame for PX200 as for the motor VSE1M

VLX1T is PX frame and VLX1M is the engine prefix

this site would help to better understand

I think you will have more infos about PS on Local Indonesian Forum

PS is so rare outside Indonesia, a few in Europe maybe

so my suggestion is to lurk on the local forum

It's not popular and easy to get some historical line as the PX...even in Indonesian forum, there's no legitimate or accurate information about this kinda Vespa.

Not an S but......
I have a Dan Motors PX here in Vietnam as my spare bike. VLX1T and VLX1M. Serial numbers point towards 1980 although it has a 1981 Ducati Electronica flywheel (with points) but 12V battery and other electrics. It's painted in some weird ass colours at the moment but used to be yellow. Speedo reads about 20kph less than true but apart from that it works well and cruises nicely. I think they are pretty rare here in Vietnam. I haven't seen another with the same headset yet. I've left the yellow boots on as they add a certain amount of Vietnam to this Indo bike! It has to blend in!

Hi guys,

Does anyone here (referring mostly to the guys from Indonesia) have a pdf of a wiring diagram for an exclusive 2 to share? I have a new old stock factory wiring harness I'm trying to modify for use on a spanish P200 DS (first Motovespa P-series, no turn signals, Rally fork + headset), on which I'm installing a DanMotor headset, so I need to know which wires to suppress (turn signals, relay, battery, etc..) or to re-route.

By the way, my headset is the second generation type (squarish, but not super square like the Sera), and both covers I have are metal (one with the early PX speedometer, the other for the Danmotor speedo with oil, neutral, & blinker warning lights). I had no idea they'd made plastic versions.

I tried checking out the "Vespa-Indonesia Online" forums, but Bahasa Indonesia I do not understand.

I just finished the first part of the rebuild: fitting all the parts together before I take care of the bodywork & new paint. Originally this was a Spanish 200DS (early P200 with Rally headset & fork), on which I traded the original fork & headset for a PX fork and a DanMotor Exclusive/Spartan headset. I have an oldschool Grimeca disc brake, with the headset modded to bolt on a PX master cylinder. The spare wheel was removed to fit a toolbox cowl (courtesy of DanMotor as well). I made a wiring loom from scratch because there were none readily available to accomodate the mix of lo-tech, and, well, ...even lower-tech: no battery, no turn signals, but 12V electronic ignition with regulator, neutral light, and reserve warning light (connected to the former indicator light on the headset). The original Femsa engine was replaced by a Polini 208 powerplant with Ducati electrics, 60mm full circle crankshaft, PHBH 30 carb with reedvalve, and straight-toothed Polini primary. I just finished running it in, and while the carb still isn't perfectly set up, it's a lot of fun to ride.

I'm riding it as is for now: I still have some dings on the legshield to straighten out (plus a new one in the rear where a friend ran into me with his French-built Acma Vespa) before I redismantle it for a new coat of paint.

Digging up the thread, because although I have the oil tank with electric level sensor and the headset with oil reserve proper to Danmotor Exclusives and Spartans, I've never been able to hook them up properly. If anyone has one of these bikes and has any knowledge of how they work (or is currently working on one), I'd like to know how the wires (black, green, and red/black hook into the wiring, or at least the headset wires. I've tried quite a few combinations, and none have worked (either the light doesn't turn on, or it's on with no variation between low/high levels)

I can't help you, but just wanted to say that's a great looking P.

Although are you sure the sensor works at all? Like perhaps check the resistance across the wires as the float(?) goes up and down?

Ebeth is a totally straight dude. He found me a good PX headset top, took photos, and I agreed to take it. He wouldn't accept payment until I received it and was satisfied with it. I received it and was satisfied. I then sent him the payment, which was very reasonable. Trust is one of those things that is hard to find these days.

Thanks! I'm a fan as well!

(I like square headlights; I even had to put a GP handlebar on my Jet 200 )

I did check the resistance when I was trying to hook it up, but I didn't find any cause for it not to work. I'll have to do another battery of tests when I go back into the gas tank bay. For now, it not working doesn't keep me from using it; I just fill it up every once in a while.

It did work once ^^ when I was testing it with a battery, but it's very possible that there was a false contact getting the circuit to close. Another possibility is that it's a DC only system (mine's AC, no battery).

I picked up a VBX1T in Australia a few months ago that is in need of a total rebuild. It has the VBX1M motor that needs rebuilding also. My question is what other models have this motor. Here in Australia no one carries parts for this model as it was never imported here. 7.5 hp seem ok and I would like to keep down the costs as much as possible but I need to know what model motor parts are interchangeable. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm sure you can get parts for it here. While often there were regional variations on what exactly was provided to which market, more or less the engines were basically the same.
There's most likely two options used on yours... one is it's the same spec as late VBC, other it's the same spec as a PX150... any way it's done it's pretty much the same.

I'm happy to help out finding parts for you. That might involve you taking stuff apart to photograph or measure so that we can get it right,

But before you go too far, are you sure you can get it registered? It has import papers etc? Wouldn't want to waste any money if you can't.
