not really posted much as of late anyway but I sold the scooter yesterday so not really going to have too much to add on here

will still pop in from time to time so it wont be final and I do hope to buy another mv in the future

main reason is as I'm working all week I wasn't getting time to ride much and Saturday being my only real day I could ride

but I always I have the little in who as much as she loved the scooter she isn't big enough to go on it yet so needed something we can use together

am looking at mazda mx5s at the moment so will still get the wind in my (ahem )hair

Sorry to see you go but good luck to you for the future.

I gave up two wheels from 1972 to 2008 so never say never.

By the way, I had a 2000 Mark II and a 2006 Mark III MX5 and had some great times in them.

All the best Andy. Stick around a bit. I've been without a scooter for a while now but I still browse MV most days.

We've had an early Mark III MX5 for about four years. Very agile little car and great fun to blast around the twisties... ticks a lot of the same boxes as a scooter, and always puts a smile on my face. It's the kind of car that makes you take the longer scenic route down the back roads. It's well behaved around town too, so makes for a viable daily driver, though a bit cramped for longer stints.

Bummer... I will miss you, as you appear to be one of the few tuners on this side of things, & one who is more interested in in making stoopid things go faster than ever intended, rather that comfy seats, wind-shields & cup-holders.

The work you do is amazing, & with such a tidy discrete finish... A true crazy craftsman

Next time you will need to buy a classic Vespa, & come play in the Not-So-Modern side of life.

Cheers for the advice.

P.S. I'm still trying to find replacement front shocks (only, not complete forks) for the Zip if you have any ideas.

It's not a proper mid life crisis unless it's red.

I dislike good byes. But if we must part I wish the best with the convertible. I had one for 7 years and they are a lot of fun.

I will miss your posts.

Will miss you. Pop in once in a while. Just because you don't have a scooter doesn't mean you can post. Enjoy your new to you car.

Doing similar, but different. Already got the MX! It's been our touring bike. Recently added a 200GT Vespa. Gonna let the big Honda tourer go. If we go distance, the Miata wins. If I go solo, the Vespa is fine. The Honda is a great bike, but finding it's not getting used much. Off tomorrow for the vintage show at The Quail Lodge in Carmel. Weather is going to be 54 high, with 20/30 mph winds. Rain possible by late afternoon. 3 hour drive. The Miata wins......

GONZO dude;

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

Nice car!

From time to time I take the MX5 and park it in a field with other Fives. Always a good turnout at the National Rally.

(Nobody would mind if an MG showed up )

It's quite hard to find an MG now where the head gasket hasn't been replaced, but the problems and preventative fixes are all very well documented now.
