I want to hear some other names ppl have for their scoots.

The former owner of mine named it "Freedom" b/c it allowed him to stop taking the bus.

I renamed mine "Parker" bc I got IT instead of $300/year parking pass for a car, and I get to park my scooter MUCH closer than the suckers with cars who pay for the privilege!

My GTS is named Bella. My girlfriend named her that because it was a pretty, Italian name for my pretty, Italian, scooter. It wasn't until later that we found out about that Twilight chick being named that...
I usually name all my vehicles after my favorite female characters from films or tv (my MINI is named Lucy, after one of my favorite sassy brunettes, from Peanuts), but Sony got to Bella before I had time to even think about it. When I brought her home, she said "She looks like a Bella!", and it stuck.

"Ombra della luna" (Moon shadow)

Sometimes just "Ombra" sometimes just "luna"

I liked "Bella" too, but that's my great-neice's name, and just too easy!

El Diablo. It was named Daphne at first buuuuuuuuut since it breaks down on me and and Daphne got written off of Heroes, I picked something more sinister.

My GT200 was actually christined by my sister during a long family dinner. I tend to name all my vehicles with really 'cheezy' names, like "The White Lightning" or "Silver Bird" or "Lightning Flash", etc. I believe that I got inspired by the Campbell's "Blue Bird" thing. Anyway, this GT was chistined "Esmeralda", and it stuck.

Cheers,

Paulo

mine usually goes by plain 'The Vespa'
but if she leaves me biting the dust at a green light sprint with a ricecooker scooter, she turns into 'The black bitch'

Usually, it's "my scooter". When I am feeling really close to it, "the 300".

Diavolo Fortunato. I named my 300 Super this because I won a Vespa LX 50 in a raffle with only 666 available tickets. I then used the LX 50 and my GTS 250 to buy my GTS 300 Super. So I figured that this Super was a lucky devil or Diavolo Fortunato. Deborah named it Devil Scoot, but I preferred the Italian name instead.

Nelli, after Roy Roger's side kick's jeep, Nellybelle. First machine with a personality in my experience as a youngster. And what was a motor vehicle doing in a cowboy show when everyone was still on horses? Didn't make any sense to me as a kid, but loved its "wrongness." Now, I love the "wrongness" of riding a scoot in a cager world. Dropped the "y" and added an "i" to make it a little more Italian.

Especially appropriate to the sex change that you added a nice pretty front RACK to Benito to truly make her Bernice.

After three weeks of riding every day, she's still just "the scooter". I've been thinking about coming up with a name - I name my computers ferchristsake, I better come up with a name for my scooter - though I have a laid back attitude about it. Something will happen eventually and I'll know what to call her.
