Just wondering: Should I be greasing the gear selector box when I take the cover off? Right now I don't have anything in the the recess where the actuator and arm are (i.e. under the batwing where the selector is).

I assume the plunger and stuff that's internal is bathed in transmission oil, but should I be lubing/protecting anything that's on the box itself? If so, what to use?

Thanks for any tips.
