They modestly claim "The world's best folding bike."

Generally, I take such claims with the regulation-size grain of salt. But this one looks interesting - a bit pricier than a baseline Brompton, say, but looks worth it.

I got this when I moved to Sweden four years ago. I bought it from an old guy who said he was too old to use it any more. It is a three-speed Rex Lyx from the 70's or the 80's. I'm told they don't make them in Sweden any more and production moved somewhere in Asia in the early 2000's. This thing is the best bicycle I've ever had. The only problem I've had is that the tires are a bit narrow, so sometimes it can be hard to find replacement tubes/tires.

What size wheels? If they are 700c, you should be able to get wider tires to get more comfy (say around 32-35c). That is a lovely bike, BTW.

My bike was stored in my boyfriend's basement for about 2 years. When my Lance got a clogged jet and wouldn't start, I rode the bicycle home one evening. I was thoroughly miserable and vowed that I wouldn't one again. Just sold it to help pay for a new scooter

Bumping this Old thread for those who never saw it and would like to join in. Please do Show n Tell us about your Bicycle

Sadly we lost some member's photos along the way. Some due to photo bucket's "now you see it, now you don't." Such a shame they disappeared. Please feel free to re-enter them.

I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s and was lucky enough to be in the age of BMX.
From there tried “racers” but luckily mountain bikes came along.

I generally build my own from scratch rather than wasting money upgrading components.

Now my boys are old enough to handle a day in the saddle we often load up and head off to the single tracks of Sussex, Surrey and Kent

This summer on our usual holiday at Mnt Blanc (the Alps) we did the local downhill course, swiftly followed by an entire days ride back to our village.
2 cable cars up (long rides) and then an hour solid up hill, setting off from inside the clouds, gave us the rest of the day descending.

Love the variety of colors in your collection, Frank.

Here's my 10-speed, from Christmas 1964 and it had a repaint in 1974. I still ride it...

I have four bikes, a mid-80s vintage Colnago Super built up with Campagnolo Record, a 1989 Team 7-Eleven Eddy Merckx with Dura Ace, a mid-90s Catamount MFS dual-suspension MTB Burt as a 1x8, and a Top Image Neptune single-speed MTB.

Thanks! The white one is actually a work in progress. I haven't decided which color to apply yet. I was thinking grigio dolomiti to match the GTS 300 I hope to own next summer.
