Nice Borhens!

We have that same front sport-style kit available here but not sure how to make of it since I'm going for the classic look. Looks good on your scoot though.

Hi!

This is the rear end of my almost bone stock -08 LX 50. All I've done so far is change the broken stock taillight for a "BMW style" one. The new taillight is more of the likes of the model S, but it's cool anyways. At least I like it. =)

EDIT: Actually I did replace the rather BMX-style handlebar ends with the "premium" ones. Not sure what the stock configuration is on a 50. The bigger LXes seem to have the "premium" ones installed.

I like the slightly different look of your taillight, subtle enough that many won't even notice.

Always liked the idea of the light up horn covers but wanted something different. Put this together and am happy with the result.

Saved LX
Saved this LX from the scrap yard after the owner put it into a fence - gave me the keys and let me have it for free. It ran but was horribly slow and body was in really bad shape.

Most used tool here was a cutoff wheel - but motor was solid so rebuilt with Malossi parts and made my own exhaust.

Runs great and seems to be lots of fun so far - still some work left - including the seat - overall a fun project and was actually able to make an LX go pretty fast.

Added some LED's behind the metal - they are really bright with the halo and light together.

Headset - saved what I could and tried to keep the look

I did some more modifications on my LX. The variomatic case was powdercoated silver, the rear panels and mudguard were replaced by S50 ones and the horn cover was extended downwards about an inch (2.5 cm), to make it look more balanced after altering the horn grille to a modern vespa one, bought from SIP.

More pics to follow, when my internet will work in normal speed again.

Itís made by DMP available in the UK.
LED drl.

I tried it on the original side light connection but it flickered a lot being AC.

So found a 12v DC output under the horn cover and wired directly to that. Flicker free, though does come on with the ignition not the engine.

Cool and thanks. Years ago i put a HID headlight kit on my LX. What a nightmare. This was before LED'S caught on. Finally took it out and put it back to stock. Sometimes i had headlights and sometimes i didn't. I live it the country where their aren't a lot of lights in some places. Here's my '07 LX 150 and he has 48,500 miles on him. Counting down to 50,000 He looks pretty good for being 11yrs old. TIPP a friend that used to live over here had the same exact bike. She moved to SF and i miss my riding buddy. I was amazed how many guys liked her bike. They weren't asking for their SO or spouse either.

Very nice indeed Judy.

That headlight is just a day time running light but actually puts out more light than the stock candle lol.

Saying that Iíve just this weekend Fitted a BA20D LED headlight bulb so will report back if itís any better.
