I bought this bike early this year and have put a lot of work into it. I just put in a new engine (has 37 miles on it), 12v electric, exhaust, brakes, gas tank and more. I have receipts for all the work I've put into it. It runs like a babe, I'm selling it because I'm buying a new bike and would like to have some extra cash in hand. It does have a few chips of paint here and there but nothing crazy. I'm making very little on this due to all the work I've put into it. This is a classic 1967 Vespa Sprint. All electrics work and it has new tires. I have the pink slip in hand as well. Willing to negotiate but please don't low ball me.
WTH does "runs like a babe" mean exactly? Help me out. I'm trying to picture it.

This popped up on my local craigslist. Emailed the guy. It reads like it is local. Probably going to go over to have a look at it in person.

Apparently they've had new paint jobs! Done by a 5 year old maybe.

Is this a Frankenscoot? Good price but I don't have a keen eye yet.

Still about 7 hours away. For Rhode Islanders that's the other side of the country. IT is a cute one. The 100 doesn't bother me . I am far from a hard core scooterist. I won't be using my scooter for a daily commute. I will be just traveling to the park or beach near my house. I love the green also.

RG, that scoot looks legit to me. It has some scratches, but the BBQ rack on the back looks like it's too big.

Not a bad price either.....

But it is a 100, so expect it to be slower than your P125

Should have put in in DOTD. truthfully I wouldn't even mind a 50. Something my wife or son could ride with me to the park or beach near us without the endorsement. Virtually no traffic so fairly safe.

Re: Not Strictly A Bodge I Know
Yes, that is a Vivo/Tasso replica 60s scoot (based around a new LML) that was used as a display model in Edinburgh, as the seller says. Tasso are legit, and still advertise them on their website. Each to their own, but there must be enough demand to make it viable.

However this one does appear to have a Rally headset, which changes the look a bit. I'm curious what has been done with the wiring underneath.

Am I crazy, or is this the ultimate bundle of bodges...

Im guessing someone imported them into California and is trying to flip them to a gullible German.

That 100 sport is about as original as it get . Price is a little high for me , yet if that's your favorite model it's not crazy . Not shure if the turn signals were black . The more I look at it , that price is ok .

Not the point... point is he bought it for $1200 two weeks ago. Pretty scummy in my book.

Not really , if he got it for a good price , and sells it for whatever someone else thinks is a good price , more power to him . I purchased a scoot from John Mau (vintage vibe ) , it was a barn find all original , no rust , with one small dent in the back . Do I think I got a good price " he'll ya ! ) , did he sell it to me for what he got it for , I'll bet my left nut he didn't . If I found some old farm that would sell me a TV 175 for $500. Bucks that's in perfect condition , would I sell it for $700. HELL NO ( I'm not stupid ) . What I'm trying to say is good for him , if I was in the market for a small frame I would highly consider that scoot .
