Well here's mine - 1970 Vespa Sprint Veloce was orginally in pink, but now silver/ Piaggio blue. I'm thinking of a clour change as the paint finish at the moment has suffered during the winter weather. It's got a P200 engine fitted rather than the original 150cc, and the wiring has been upgraded to 12v. I don't ride this very much now, as safety wise it's not a patch on my other scoot - a Vespa GTS 300.
Anyhow enjoy!

Good looking scooter, how's she run? Some VN stuff is pretty good & some is crap.
Yeah I'd agree that you have a 160 Grand Sport, not a Sprint at all. Get your VIN # location here, then find the exact model and year at ScooterHelp.

I couldn't run my frame numbers - as I couldn't read all the numbers due to new paint. But I ran the engine- it came back 150Sprint0y58661- since it couldnt find the exact match. Guess the engine is a sprint. Hmmmm

When I run the engine code on scooterhelp, it says i have a 150 Sprint. So- thus I have always believed I had a 150.

However now I am really confused. I might need to go to a shine-and-show to see what I actually have

Can't wait? Then don't, here's mine in process:

It's mostly original paint and some resprayed areas from long ago.
I'll be keeping this paint and making the best of it rather than attempting a restoration.
I think these might the same color, but mine's bleached out? Someday I hope it might look half this nice and every bit as shiny!

I also would like to know what this color is, anybody??? Here's an "as found" shot:

Greetings from Hungary!
Here is my baby, before the restoration. It is from 1969, from the first series.

It came from Imola (ITA) last year. I made the custom paint job myself, a hommage to Picasso's 'Guernica'.
It is currently in pieces, I am hoping to see her in her old glory again soon. I am shooting for getting as close to the factory state as possible, with a few exceptions.

I was hesitating on what color it should receive. They only made it in silver that year, which I did not like. I finally decided to go with the red they had starting from '72 (MaxMeyer 1.298.5847) Still a factory Veloce color, not for the same year though.
- such a small cheating is still witin the treshold by me (otherwise I wouldn't have gone with the saddle seat either) One thing I want to avoid is making it look like an asian restoration.

I have some more photos
here.

By the way: I have not had heart to sacrifice the paint job, so I bought another glovebox side panel for the restoration.
I am selling the original one on ebay (auction link), in case anyone is interested.
