So... here's my 2006 GT200, picked up in April with a little over 4000 miles. First motorbike since selling a Suzuki dual-sport back in '97 to finance the kids' first car. After swapping the original-equipment Pirellis with City Grips, I'm absolutely loving zipping around on it!

I was feeling a little blown around by the wind at highway speeds, so added a mid-sized Vespa windscreen. Much improved body comfort, but now don earplugs to bring the buffeting noise down to acceptable levels. Probably better in the long run anyway.

Upcoming mods include installing that new belt and Dr. Pulley sliders purchased 3 weeks ago, swapping the horn with a Stebel Nautilus (don't want to rely on the cute "meep! meep!" when urgently requiring a cage-driver's attention), and adding a cigarette lighter power socket and a RAM mount for cell phone/GPS.

2008 Midnight Blue GT200...........15000 Miles
Being a "newbee", I haven't seen too many stock Midnight Blue GT200's on the forum. I know they're out there, but I thought I'd post a pic of mine. I love the scoot, and love how it shines. Having very recently replaced the front handlebar cover, the scoot shows no sign of fading considering that it sits out in the hot Florida sun most of the time. Maybe has something to do with the cleaner/polisher I've used since day-1 .
Sadly to say, the local dealer walked away from his shop a few years ago. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to pick up some Vespa and Piaggio tools. Some apply to this bike, and many others don't. I may just have to put the ones I can't use up for sale. But with no local dealer short of Daytona, I'm having to do all of the maintenance myself. And believe me, I've been as deep in as you can get!

MY GT 200!
Hello!

I've only done cosmetic mods to my GT200.

Bar end mirrors (changes the look completely IMO)
Vespa crash bars
footwell mat

What do you think?
Thanks

...I wonder how many Vespa owners have done the same as you, sold their scoot then bought a replacement. I'm sure you will have just as much fun with your new ride and with the added bonus of having ABS. I love the colour of the new one

My ride
I bought this 2007 a couple of months ago with less than 2,400 miles on it. It had been sitting in a garage for a few years. I went through it mechanically, added a Cheeky Seat cover, a little wax, and voila.

Back after a 10 year absence
I haven't ridden my 06 GT in 7 years. I just finally got it out of the garage and brought it Greensboro, NC to get serviced and it definitely wasn't cheap. But I am excited to start riding again. Some of you folks who've been on here a long time knew me as Surfan .

I've never really cared for that Portifino green colour, but with that combination of orange/brown saddle etc it looks fabulous. Please post a good side view of your scooter.

The VG is my favorite because it's such a unique color. But I didn't like it all with black accents that was stock. I saw this seat on another Vespa when I bought it and asked the dealer if he'd swap that seat. He did and I just continued the color scheme. Here's an older side shot when I had a front rack.

For the most part I agree. But I have a VR GTS and like that color.Though, you know Melnir, I really think it's the accents on a bike that make a color stand out.
