It will be interesting to see how Piaggio styles the "Beverly" name out of the U.S. models and puts "BV350" or whatever on the side of the scooter. The way the European models look it shows that the design team (or the styling studio) put some time into integrating the name into the overall design. There will also probably be subtle changes all over the bike to meet our standards- turn signals etc. Please post photos and a detailed description whoever gets to see a U.S. spec version first! Still hoping that I like the color combos we get....

Yeah, I wonder why they don't call it Beverly in the US. Are female names for scooters just not palatable for the American PTW market?

Yeah, gorgeous scooter, and I LOVE that maroon/black colour. Just fabulous. I was surprised to hear so many comments about not wanting that maroon/black combo.

The Beverly name probably wouldn't fly here. I'm one of the commentators regarding the red/black. The black part I like- check out my avatar. If it was black over black I'll take one. Black over Red, black over white, black over blue..... you get the picture. Oh well, I'll just wait and see what we get and I'll make my final judgement when I see one in person. I got my bv out for a couple short rides Sunday and Monday. Earliest in the year I've ever ridden. She's back under her cover in the garage today though- snowing lightly as I type.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I like to get away from the black coloured saddles for any scooters, though my scooter's is black LOL! Dealer offered me a GREAT price on a floor model, so heck, why not. I'm a guy who wears cordovan coloured clogs (or used to, until the rubber rotted away!). LOL

Hope you have more time to scoot! Winter here in the Piedmont area of NC is really not bad at all. Couldn't imagine being in Ohio right now...brrrr!

maybe the beverly name is beeing used in the States and Piaggio cant use it.

back in 2002 when i bought my Honda Hornet 900
in US it was called 919.
because Honda couldn't use the name Hornet

I think we Americans don't like feminine names for vehicles (unless we name them ourselves, of course). We seem to like letters and numbers, especially "Z"s and "X"s.

Imagine how well the Datsun (Nissan) 240Z would have sold with it's original name: "Fairlady"

Just got back from Technical training on the BV350.
Pretty damn amazing engine!!

6,500 miles service intervals, 15k belt change intervals, gear oil changed at 625 miles and then only inspected at 24k miles!!!

That wet clutch is phenomenal!!

Can't wait to hear and see more about this scoot! When is the launch date again?

First bikes should hit showrooms in April; dealer meeting is next month and should know more by then.

Unfortunately, 3 hours into our trip in LA we had all of our stuff stolen from the trunk of our rental car, including suitcases, laptops, ipads, and my cable for my camera.
I have a replacement coming in next week, but will try to find a way to upload pics in the meantime.
Note to self... do NOT rent a Chevy Malibu.. with the alarm going off, you can still pop the trunk open from the inside.. WTF Chevy?!?!?!?!

I think it will be black upper dash and red lower dash/ glovebox/ seat.

It seems like scooters are filling the gaps left when motorcycles started getting bigger and bigger. 30 years ago it was pretty easy to find a mid to smaller sized cc engine, that could be more easily ridden by smaller riders. Now they are all just monstrosities, and jacked way up. The sad thing is, many of these scooters are a bit tall too, which is also pretty silly.

I hope we somehow end up getting other color combos that have a black seat etc. I remember in 2003 the dealer I bought my LT150 telling me that Piaggio always seemed to change color availability with almost every order he made. I hope that is somewhat the case with these. I will buy one with the right color combo. If they don't come that way early on I'll get new tires on my Reflex and keep it until they do. Still hoping....

I sooo wanted a GT200 when they came out, but didn't buy one for the color choices.

As soon as the GTS was announced, available in red....I was "done". Ordered immediately.

That looks to be about 7-9 seconds to 62mph correct? That's pretty fast for a scooter! I was trying to time it when he actually hits right before 100km but it is hard to look at my watch and the video at the same time- plus I'm at work . These scooters look better and better everytime. Can't wait to see one in person.

I have been trying to post these for like 2 weeks now!!

Oil pump is on the other side, the clutch opens on the other side.. that bike is so freaking wicked!!!!

That is one nice looking motor.

Looks like it's going to be a nice bike to service, though it looks like the valve check/adjustment is going to require de-tupperwaring. Looking at the plastics and the positions of the common service parts, as far as I can tell, this basically becomes the easiest of the moderns plastic bodywork scooters to actually get to for servicing, combined with longer service intervals, it looks more and more compelling to replace me BV5 as my 'daily' rider.

That's my plan too. Maybe some red ones will show up sooner than later. Guess I'll continue to hold out hope. These do look and sound fantastic.
