It's a Lammy and not really humorous, but close enough. 1961 as the Berlin Wall was going up.

Well, I did post it in the Humorous Pictures thread, so I must've thought it was a little bit funny. And made it my desktop background on my work laptop.

I ran across it while doing a little research on what Berlin looked like in 1989 when The Wall came down and thought it was pretty damn cool.

And it's also worth noting that the T-55 was much more likely to start and run than a Lambretta...

For some reason, the link now seems to be broken, even though the original image is there, so here it is for posterity.

Up on Reno Craigslist, a Vespa upgraded JakPak. I give you from 1960, the arrival of the POWER SCOOTER(s)!

No, it's not a Vespa, but this was back in summer of 1996 when I was trying to make a flying scooter. All I remember was that I racked my nuts REALLY hard during that failed takeoff...

I'm actually kind've intrigued to know what they were doing with that. It has Indonesia Road Warrior Culture written all over it, probably part of some crazy thing with 20 tires that takes five dudes to drive.

I could see it not actually being a gear shift, but rather driving a Ship's Pedestal or something crazy like that.

That thing was at an antique store I went into last summer. I seriously wanted to buy it, even though I have nowhere to put it or any need for it, but my wife was having none of it.

Imagine this thing on the back of a one of those crazy IndoVespa's.

Yeah, and it was about four feet tall. It was only like $175 USD, too.

Digging out that photo, I wish I'd just taken the heat and nabbed it.

Funny for sure.

I was watching the video of the traffic in Rome and got a flash back of the day we picked up our rental a car from the Rome airport, I set the GPS for Pescara and somehow the route options got set to shortest route from quickest route. There's an Autostrada route that circles Rome to avoid going into Rome, that was the route I planned on, nope ended up going straight through Rome right where that video was taken.
