This will be on a route for the Gathering. Bring a rock to leave behind for good luck.

so basically ... if we are still alive by the time we get to this pile of rocks, we are suppose to leave a rock so will have good luck as we ride away from the pile of rocks?

So if my luck hasn't changed before reaching the pile of good luck rocks ... it would change if I didn't leave a rock for the pile of good luck rocks?

I got a feeling I should take my chances OR borrow your rock to leave on the pile of other rocks, then see how your luck changes.

All I know is I went by it twice on Saturday and even stopped to take pictures without leaving a rock and 1st thing Sunday morning I had my off reported in another thread. Coincidence....judge for yourself.

I'm bringing a rock myself, maybe a couple to make up for not bringing one last weekend. I don't want anything to happen like the others.

I wonder how much better luck to those that brought a bigger two handed boulder for the pile .......... went?

Well I got a rock that I picked up in the Holy Lands at the Sea of Galilee where the loaves and fishes were fed to the people. I guess I could bring it and transplant it.

That would then make this more of a "Holy pile of Rocks" ...

I will be bringing a rock but it will be from Maine since we really don't have rocks in Florida. Maybe some limestone?

Today, 60 miles after picture you can sort of tell where the wear bars used to be.
Fuzzy, how many actual miles is on that?

has anyone else worn out a power pure?

About 3,300. Less than I get on City Grip or Metzler. I have another Power Pure coming to put on next week. If it wears out as fast I will go back to Metzler in 160/60-14 size.

Fuzzt wears tire faster than anyone I know. We have come to the conclusion he gets about a little over half mileage compared to most folks . This is because of the grainyness of the roads in Georgia. So you have to factor that in when talking mileage on tires

Glad to here about experience with Power Pure...

I was wondering if I should switch.
I just had Motoretta/Bobby mount new City Grips on MP3.
I came across a good sale a while back at Motorcycle Superstore, and stocked up on City Grips for MP3 & GTS.

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys at the park.
I am heading up that way this weekend meeting some friends at Riders Hill.

Thanks,

the city grips are a great tire. no worries with them. They are long lasting have great grip in the corners, do very well in the rain.

Homestead is close to Miami which loses you Southness points so I agree with Fuzzy...you're looking Maryland. Had you said Tallahassee or maybe "middle o' nowhere Florida" then I could see Virginia status. Send us a picture of your 500 sitting on 3 concrete blocks with grass growing up around it and we'll bump you down to Tennessee.

Sorry Sticky, but concensus around here is that Florida is no longer southern, but the land of Yankee transplants. That is why we live in fear of Yankees with moving vans - sooner or later we are going to fill up Florida and start making it up here . . . .

Went for a ride today on the twistiest roads I know around here to get ready for the upcoming twisty-palooza next month. Wasn't feeling it but did manage to scrape pegs a few times.

That is the cooler run shown as "The Loop" to be a true cooler run it has to be all left turns which is the best way to ride it.

Sunrise grocery near Vogel Park on 129 also has Non-Ethanol gas.

I was just programming the GPS Tonight, and printed out the three popular routes in North GA. The only one I have done is "The Loop" (I call Loop 1), but these others look interesting as well.

I have been keeping up with who has Non-Ethanol in that Area as well.
So you see a few as way points.

Once the rain cleared out today, gosh this was a great ride.
Did not get started until after lunch, so it was a long day for me.
