After-Market Exhaust Upgrades
Overview
This page is intended to describe all the currently available after-market exhausts available for Vespas, organized by manufacturer. If you own an after-market exhaust, please edit the appropriate section and add your first-hand comments on the characteristics of your exhaust. Links to pictures of your Vespa showing the exhaust are also quite welcome!
Leo Vince
Manufacturer Name and Web Page: Leo Vince
Country: Italy (Sito Gruppo) and USA (Leo Vince USA)
Exhaust Products for Vespa:
4-Road
Pictures: Here, After darkening, LeoVince 4-road on GTS300
Vespa Models: GT200,GTS 250, 300
Noise Level: Starts out mellow and gets louder with time
Performance: Has helped the top end by maybe 5 MPH, and no change in MPG. Gives about a 0.5 to 1.0 hp bump.
Comments: Easy to remove exhaust come wheel removal time. Does not rust, but the hottest parts do darken (bronze) a bit.
Behaves slightly differently on the GT200. Performance gains are about the same, but the pipe is subject to far less darkening (the 'after darkening' pic above is of a GT200 - on the GTS, the pipe will go a dark bronze colour), and stays mellow in sound for a lot longer.

Sito
Manufacturer Name and Web Page: Unknown
Country: Italy
Exhaust Products for Vespa: PX, LX, ET2, ET4
Sito Plus
Pictures: Here
Vespa Models: LX, ET4
Noise Level: "Throatier" than stock.
Performance: While it is apparently a better performer than stock I didn't notice it, but that's not to say others wouldn't.
Comments: Alternative to stock exhaust. Baffles broke after 1 year and since this is a sealed unit you can't fix it with any ease. Looks almost identical to stock. Despite issue with Baffles I would buy again as I wouldn't rule the Sito Plus out on one failure.
