GT/GTS: When the Stock Exhaust Starts to Sound Loud
A change in the sound of your GT or GTS exhaust may be a sign that your graphite exhaust gasket/collar is crumbling or has disappeared. Do not ignore the issue; have it checked out or replaced.

If your exhaust becomes louder, very hot and corrosive exhaust gases are circulating around under your scooter and may cause critical parts such as your rear brake line to fail.
