Saw this mod on a ruckus forum website while searching for tasteful solutions:

Found one on eBay to give it a try. It's a Saab/Subaru cup holder. Found mine for $35 shipping inc.

In the final paint and install stages. Here are some pics to get an idea of what's involved.

That is a great mod!

That cupholder is straight out of my Saab 9-5. It will hold a 20 oz bottle very securely (especially the contoured Coke/Diet Coke bottles), but it has a hard time handling large cups. I haven't had any issues with drinks tipping, but this is in my car.

Report back to us with your findings. Others will be looking at this closely I think.
