aaahhhh
I just went out side to try this "Pocket Dyno" app... for kicks...
and I taped my phone to the glovebox and of course I didn't read Any of the instructions, (so I got no "results" anyway)..
you click the screen and it gives you a little red, yellow, green countdown, and I was trying to watch it, and the phone was kinda falling off, and the green light came on, I hit the throttle and was wheeeeeelllllieee... Aaahh, phone fell off, I came down... and now I have to go change my underwear.
It's supposed to use the gyro in the phone, but you're supposed to input all kinds of data (which I didn't of course)... but it looks kinda fun... I'll watch the tutorial and see if it's worth another go.
I should have kept going I was in a full on great form wheelie
Good times.... good time fudge factory

While I was out and about I flooded my scoot (kill switch was on off ) Once I kicked it to life I realized my helmet was on the curb 2 inches away from the tail pipe facing it. So all that gas and oil that was blasted out the pipe went right on the face mask and into the vents. I rode about half a block till I stopped at a bar where I borrowed a wet rag and a glass of water an let it air out. Huffing gas and riding is not advised.

Edit: I moved the helmet so some cyclist could lock up her bike and didn't pay attention where I put it. I then rode to Vader's where I apparently missed his Evil Kineviling by minutes.

Great pics! I want to go to a race now!

Today I took a frame to the paint shop. Here's hoping we don't find too much filler/too many welds when they get the old paint off! There was no rust under the gas tank, so that's encouraging...

Also, my girlfriend wants it painted to match her favorite metallic red nail polish. Seriously? Don't want to go for an original red?

Well, whatever. It's her bike, so nail polish color it shall be.

It's more of a dark red metallic than a candy red. I took the shop a sample swatch. They're going to try to match it and come back to us with some options.

Lots of regulations for the racing bikes, even in Indonesia? I wouldn't have guessed that! Good, though. "Safety first" isn't exactly the guiding principle over here, in my experience. It's usually more like, "Insha'Allah, nothing bad will happen."

Cheers!

believe it or not it were basicly a supporter crowd so each racing team bring their club member and normally a club held around 100 member so if the club/team that participation were like 20 so the crowd will hit 2000 folks

good luck with bike and due show me ur t5mk1 when u got it mate

hahaha so u do know the rule in the road then (for most moslem) kinna like "by the will of Allah" nothing bad will happen

the regulation in the race that against my not so normal smallie is the hadlebar distance should be 60cm from one side to another and my previous handlebar less then 60cm, i change that with lammy bar but the regulation said the handlebar should be a vespa handlebar so mine is forbidden and since i mod the fork badly to fit the lammy bar i cannot go back to use any vespa bar.. isnt that sucks

anyway i am curious to see ur bike resto progress mate, can u post a pics along the way.. would love to see the metalic red in the making
good luck with the bike and cheer mate

today i put a dry fit to the seat that i weld in order to make it lower last night and test it to the office.. result : still soft and comfy

me building up another racing bike (never remember when i build one) nope, too pricey and i often use another part from another bike that have a decent shape.. told you i were scrooge beside other then that i found difficult to pass the regulation on a racing suit and cannot borrow anyone since i am too small and everyone seem too big not yet pay the registration which is kinna expensive to me.. at end i will just race in my own mountain

right now i am curious to see ur sprint progress

good luck with the bike and cheer Jesse

My friend told me his dad used to race Vespas down the mountains. Night races, and you had two choices as a rider: They would cut your brake cable or your headlight cable, and then you race down the mountains at night.

No brakes or no lights. Gila!

My friend said his dad did it until he crashed one time, and then he never did it again.

Do you think this is true? I don't think my friend would lie, but he is the only person who has ever told me about that kind of racing. Have you ever heard about anything like that?

Cheers (and resto pics coming when they're available)!

small block
Not a V8, but I got this block I've been waiting for, and I've got some minor mods to do, but it is as I'd hoped... shorter than the mrp... by 25mm... this is a good thing for me, as the carb was sitting so high it was hitting the inside top of the cowl on my super... so I'm happy about that, and it's a better design and really nicely made...
Other than that... just worked and shaved head O).... a little less goes in the bin each year..arrghh

true indeed.. i dont know in Jogjakarta but in jakarta and bogor its very popular back in 80's till late 90' the race have a unique rule as the winner isnt who touch the buttom first but who will last till the buttom, most of them have a soft seize nor hitting a guard rail the worse is get hit by a car nor fall off the cliff but not so many victim beside the wrecking vespa

i try it once when i am high school doing downhill from puncak, bogor, west java at 2am and my choice is to release the rear brake cable (i am wearing glasses due to eyes problems so i need the light) damage my brand new adidas shoes pattern till it flat after that i graduate high school and never meet the crazy old folks again

ps: my older brother are loving that game thats why he had so many scars in his feet but luckily his is handsome than me so girl still crazy for him

have a nice day in jogja and cheer Jesse

Hope the carb adjustments go well. Bikin lebih ngirit, ya?

Cheers!
