Modern Vespa

Aren't they? You don't see many around anymore. On a 700 mile trip with my local group we ended up at a gas station in Wisconsin (not sure the town) and they only had 'full serve'. The attendant was great, going from scooter to scooter and topping us all off.

Nice pics brighton. I absolutely love a mod MV. Is it just me or are all the vintage pump gas stations in Cali? Did any of those pumps work or are they just for show ?

The vintage pumps with the vintage green scoot are not functional, and located in Henderson, MN. They are just for show is what I believe.

Thank you.I got my scoot in June 2008.(used)The previous owner dropped him and there were scrapes on one side so the mods started right away.I just started replacing parts slowly.The whole thing took 3 years.I need to ride in the summer.I kept looking at MV for inspiration and I got it.The 05 on the sides are camouflage for the scrapes.cosmetically I'm done.Now I just ride.I definitely get noticed.People laugh that don't understand.(non scooter people) But I ride proud. Because I know my kids helped me with him.(Quality time in the garage with Dad). 8) Anyways keep us posted on your mods as they come I know It will turn out awesome.I'm sorry to the people with red scoots and I like them all.Red might be the fastest color but vintage green is the coolest.haha

That's o.k. because I plan on keeping my Vintage Green. It sounds like you had fun making your mods with the kids - that's cool. It is supposed to hit an unseasonable 50 degrees here tomorrow and I think that calls for a scoot-mute to work.

We hit 75 yesterday.Our club did a 150 mile ride.20 scoots and 5 motorcycles.

Took mine out for about a 120 mi road trip in the foothills east of Sacramento.

On another note, when is everyone's fan kicking in? I noticed the water temp go above half way and still no fan, this was WOT on the freeway for about 30mins.

When driving on freeway there is probably enough airflow without that fan. Fan is needed when you're stuck on a traffic jam.

Does anybody have had any issues with temp gauge? Mine is working most of the time but every now and then its dead. Maybe something wrong with the sensor?

it's done in vinyl the same as the stripes and badges,

That was my next guess.I went to the window tint guy and he said tint will not work.Thanks now my trip will not be wasted.

Oh one more question.Is the vinyl on the inside or the outside?

I have had 2 Vespa GT 200s, both 2005 models.

The old one is Smokey Grey, the new one is Optic White.

I also have an LML NV 150.

Hey FFScoot, where did you get the chrome steering column/horn cover? It's awesome.

I have been messing about with fitment on this backrest as Ive adapted it off a Honda scooter to fit, now got it more upright with stronger fastenings, the only adjustment is with a big hammer to bend the bracket on it !. Its not so much for resting on as just a reassurance for the MRS that she cant fall off the back !
